Image of an Empty Space explores the relationships that develop within the urban environment through its delimitation a process of division, conflict, and competition. It is a composition of objects originating from public spaces that were once arbitrarily used by individuals to temporarily mark off an area. I observe and collect these specific structures, the suspended spaces they create, the relationships they form, and their role as a transition between private and public realms. By presenting these found objects, I give them a sense of grounding, detaching them from their origins to create a new, potential narrative.
